Close-to-Home Access
Located in East Los Angeles, KWC Rehab eliminates the barrier of distance. Families can stay involved, and patients remain connected to their community throughout treatment.
Neuroscience-Driven Protocols
Our clinical team uses brain-based assessments and neurobiological research to shape each treatment plan, targeting the specific neural pathways disrupted by addiction.
Harm Reduction Continuum
We meet patients wherever they are in their readiness for change. Our harm reduction framework reduces risk incrementally while building motivation for sustained recovery.
Trauma-Informed Environment
Every staff member is trained to recognize and respond to trauma. Our facility design, scheduling, and clinical interactions all prioritize psychological safety.
Medication-Assisted Treatment
FDA-approved medications are integrated with behavioral therapies to stabilize brain chemistry, ease withdrawal, and lower cravings during each phase of care.
Prevention-Focused Aftercare
Recovery continues after discharge. Our alumni network, relapse prevention workshops, and community partnerships keep patients supported long after they leave our facility.
Treatment Programs
Medical Detox
Our 3- to 7-day physician-supervised detox uses targeted pharmacotherapy to manage withdrawal from alcohol, opioids, benzodiazepines, and other substances. Continuous vital-sign monitoring and neurological assessments ensure medical stability before transitioning to the next level of care.
Residential Treatment
During 30 to 90 days of residential care, patients follow a structured academic-style schedule that includes psychoeducation lectures, addiction science workshops, and workbook-based exercises alongside individual counseling and group therapy. This learning-centered model helps patients understand their own neurobiology.
Outpatient Program
Designed for patients stepping down from residential care or those whose clinical profile supports living at home, our outpatient track provides continued CBT, ACT, and group sessions on a flexible schedule that accommodates work and family life in the East Los Angeles area.
Stories of Recovery
"I had been through four different programs over nine years. Each time I left feeling like something was missing. At KWC Rehab, they explained the neuroscience behind my cravings in a way that finally clicked. The addiction science workshops gave me tools I actually understood. I have been clean for fourteen months now, and for the first time I genuinely believe it will last."
— Darren W., Alumni
"After two tours overseas, I came home carrying things I could not talk about. I started self-medicating with alcohol and painkillers. Most treatment centers did not understand military culture, but the staff at KWC Rehab did. They addressed the trauma and the substance use together, and they never once made me feel judged. Being close to my family in East LA made all the difference."
— Raul M., U.S. Army Veteran
"Fifteen years as a firefighter and I thought I could handle anything. But the calls kept stacking up, and I started drinking to turn them off. My department referred me to KWC Rehab. The trauma-informed approach here was the first thing that actually reached what was underneath the drinking. I am back on the job now, sober, and I finally asked for help when I needed it."
